Deprecation notice
Indeed is removing the publicProfileUrl field on June 30, 2026. Until removal, the field returns an empty string. Remove publicProfileUrl from your integration before this date. When retrieving a resume, use the resume object fields.
Authorization
- Clarified the 3-legged OAuth
employerparameter requirement across the OAuth reference, Client credentials grant type (2-legged OAuth), Authorization code grant type (3-legged OAuth), OAuth glossary, Token exchange grant type (OAuth), and Get started topics. Tokens that represent an advertiser must includeemployerfor Employer Registration and Job Syncnodequeries.
Candidate Sync APIs
- Published integration guides for the Retrieve Candidates API and the Send Candidates API. Each guide covers workflow steps, prerequisites, validation, and a release-readiness checklist.
- Reworked the Candidate Sync APIs landing page with explicit prerequisites and an order of operations for each API.
Job Update API
- Documented the new
body.descriptionFormattingfield for description formatting in the Job Update API guide. ChooseTEXT(30–20,000 characters) orHTML(30 characters minimum, 65,000 UTF-8 bytes maximum).
Indeed Apply
- Documented the new optional
analytics.smartFitScorefield in the Indeed Apply Application data reference. The field is a numeric score indicating how well the applicant matches the job. If the field is absent, no score is available for the application. - Updated the token-acquisition flow on Direct employer integration with Indeed Apply. To get an Indeed Apply token, contact Indeed Client Success to register your interest, sign the Developer Agreement, and view your client ID and client secret in Partner Console.
Publisher JavaScript Plugin
- Refreshed the images and copy on the Publisher JavaScript Plugin guide and the Job Postings category landing page.
